Human resources for the agricultural community

Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture (NSFA) members have the opportunity to further develop their management/leadership skills in human resources practices this fall. The NSFA, in partnership with the Department of Labour and Advanced Education, is offering a 40-hour interactive workplace education program in Truro.
Topics will include:
• Leadership: The skills, tools and art
• Generational and cultural awareness: Our evolving team
• Surviving or thriving: Creating an energized team
• Setting and sustaining goals
• Creating direction for our team: Making our expectations clear
• Having challenging conversations with others
• A disciplined approach—striving to make our teams efficient
• Strengths or deficits: It’s all in the language
